Who is Amy McCollister?

Here you’ll find information on a girl who struggles to get through day-to-day life. This is where she share’s all that’s been learned through the journey so far.

Hello friends, My name is Amy! I’m so excited that you have joined me in my pursuit of k

nowing God and understanding what it means to be his beloved. I hope you’ll continue to join me on this journey.

<A bit about me>

I am a young twenty-something wife. I married my husband on April 18, 2009. We’ve been together since October of 2005, but have known each other for much longer than that. It’s not been an easy road by any means, but it’s something I wouldn’t change for the world. With each trial, we’ve only grown stronger and am excited to see the future God has in store for us.

I grew up in a family of 5, the 4th of 5. I’m my mom’s 4th and my dad’s 1st. So I have an odd family “birth place”. I have tendencies of the oldest-the first born, but I have all the tendencies of a middle child as well.  Those two combined make for an interesting path in life. While there were some things I had to learn on my own but a majority of the time I learned by watching what the other kids did and did everything in my power to avoid those mistakes.

My life has been full of ups and downs. Keep a look out in many of my posts for stories from my childhood. I love being able to refer back to the things I went through without getting overwhelmed with hurt, sadness, regret or guilt. The past is the past and, for the most part, I am able to keep the emotional side of it there too. I have come to learn that my past serves a purpose and it is not to bring me down, but it is to help me relate better to others who have been or are going through similar situations.

So there it is, a little about me. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
